For every human who falls asleep soundly under the blanket of privilege, there's another on their hands and knees praying for one thing - to be treated as equal. And why shouldn't they be?
For those of you who've been...
- Disowned by your family
- Bullied by your "friends"
- Shunned by the church
- Hated + shamed
- Excluded + ignored
- Hurt + belittled
We see you. You are as beautifully the same as every other human on this planet as you are different. You are equal. Believe it, own it, be more proud of it than you were the first time you kissed someone you loved.
We exist. We come in all colors, all sexes, all ages, all cultures, all beliefs...
and we're all human. This month (and next month, and the month after that, and the month after that) we're showing our pride in all the ways. OH is the family who'll always love on ya, no matter who you kiss or what you look like.
We believe in an equal future, one where all humans are accepted, loved, and supported. We're teaming up with GLSEN in the month of June in support of their work to create safe and affirming schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. 10% of all profits during Pride Month (June) benefit GLSEN and will help us all move toward an existence where homophobia is no more.
The future is kind, the future is equal, and the future is up to you.
